Waterproofing construction for the wooden sloped roof
Project Overview:
The main structure of the project is wooden, focusing on waterproofing construction for the wooden sloped roof.
Selected Material: EPDM Self-Adhesive Waterproofing Membrane
This material is a polymer-based product with the following advantages:
• High tensile strength
• High elongation
• Excellent aging resistance
• Adaptability to substrate expansion, contraction, and cracking, effectively mitigating the impact of wooden structural deformation on the waterproofing layer.
• Simplified construction process (self-adhesive design) and eco-friendly properties.
Applications:
Suitable for waterproofing roofs, underground structures, utility tunnels, water tanks, and other engineering projects.
Construction Process:
1. Substrate Preparation
• Use grinding tools to smooth uneven areas of the substrate.
• Ensure the substrate is dry, flat, and free of debris.
2. Membrane Installation
• Remove the release film from the membrane and apply it to the substrate.
• Use a squeegee to expel air between the membrane and substrate, ensuring full adhesion.
3. Seam Treatment
• Overlap adjacent membrane sheets by at least 10 cm.
• Compact and flatten the overlapping seams to ensure a secure bond.
4. Edge Sealing
• Secure edge trim or sealing strips at terminations to complete the installation.
Completion:
Construction finalized upon adherence to all specified procedures.
